OUR DEMOGRAPHICS

The Vision Church, as of June, 2007, is the vibrant home of over 750 members from this multicultural city and across a wide breadth of the southeast. The Vision Church has members who live within walking distance to it’s current location and members who drive as far as Alabama and Tennessee. It currently houses these percentiles:

85% African-American

8% Hispanic

4% Caucasian

3% other – comprised of 4 different nationalities.

Men comprise 55% of the total congregation – a male involvement unusually high for a mostly minority church. The church brings together people of all races, backgrounds and status and family structures. The poor worship beside the rich. They worship and serve together in one or more of the 50 different ministries within the church, including Investment and literacy programs, Education and GED programs, AIDS outreach, Health and Wellness, Social Justice Youth Mentorship, Women’s and Men’s support ministries, Counseling and Community support projects.

Meditation Scripture

II Corinthians 4:7

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
